Who’s Selling Action at the PokerGO Tour Mixed Game Series II?

This week, players take to the felt in nine events across nine events in the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Mixed Game Series. The second festival of its type, it follows on from the initial PGT Mixed Game Series back in February which was won by the former WSOP Player of the Year, Dan Zack. Thanks to his impending marriage vows, Zack won’t be able to defend his title, so who will win the most and cash in for that $25,000 championship bonus?

Packed Schedule Offers Increased Chance of Success

Last time out, Spring was in the air as eight vents took place in the inaugural PGT Mixed Game Series. This time, there are nine events, and with buy-ins ranging from $5,100 to $25,300 – including the ‘on-time’ registration fee – there’s every chance that someone will match the five cashes that Dan Zack achieved earlier in 2023.

Back in February, 538 total entries and $5,975,000 in prize money meant that the initial festival was a resounding success. This weekend’s $5,100 buy-in 10-Game ‘Mini’ Championship is sure to be a good sighter event for anyone looking to lay down a marker ahead of the ‘Main Event’ of the same variety that costs $25,300 and takes place eight in the order.

With $10,000-entry Triple Stud Mix, Dealer’s Choice and Triple Draw Mix tournaments taking place too, the final event is a novelty, as a $5,000-entry No Limit 2-7 Single Draw brings the festival to a close. Here’s the PGT Mixed Game Series Schedule, featuring all nine events that take place in variants as thrilling as Triple Stud, Big Bet, H.O.R.S.E. and 10-Game.

Ausmus and Baker Calling Out Poker Gods

The PokerGO Tour (PGT) Mixed Game Series is huge, and other than the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the best chance to play mixed games during the year. As such, the biggest mixed game regulars have come out. They don’t get much bigger than Jeremy Ausmus, who is putting himself back in the lap of the ‘Poker Gods’ and selling action to the biggest buy-in event, the $25,300-entry 10-Game Championship. Ausmus’ action is selling fast at the time of going to press.

Ausmus will also be selling action to the $100,000-entry PLO Super High Roller Bowl that takes place from October 17th. Another big name to put his action on sale is the similarly decorated David ‘ODB’ Baker. Selling initial action to Event #1, the H.O.R.S.E. event and Event #2 in Big Bet Mix, Baker will be sure to put more up for sale later in the series, especially if he starts in the kind of form his mixed game prowess likely demands.

Both Ausmus and Baker will be familiar with the quality of the PGT Mixed Game Series, and with all events starting at 12 noon at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino, players will be able to take advantage of complimentary food and drink at selected ARIA restaurants during the festival.

Funkhouser and Pescatori Pushing for Glory

Two other stars who are selling action to this year’s PGT Mixed Game Series are David Funkhouser and Max Pescatori. You can get in early with Funkhouser, who is selling to Event #1, the $10,200 H.O.R.S.E. event, with no markup at all. He’s also selling to Event #5, the $10,200 Triple Stud Mix and Event #7, the Triple Draw Mix, so it’s clear that his expertise is refined to the events he feels strongest in and could be a great investment.

Max Pescatori is only currently selling action in one event, the third on the schedule. That’s the 10-Game Mini Championship. It could be a very profitable warm-up to the $25,000 version of that event taking place later in the series and you can be in on the win too if you have a piece of Pescatori before his action sells out. The Italian WSOP bracelet winner is selling up to 40% of his entry at 1.10.

With players who are in the PGT Mixed Game Festival being entitled to a special hotel room rate at ARIA Resort & Casino, it’s sure to be a packed PokerGO Studio when play commences this week. There are just a few last months of the year until the 2023 PGT Championship takes place, where a $1,000,000 freeroll will see 40 qualifying players make the December showstopper. Whoever tops the 2023 PGT Leaderboard will win PGT Player of the Year and a $50,000 top prize, too.
