The Triton Poker Series is heading back to Jeju in South Korea in a few days’ time, and with one of the most prestigious series of events sure to make millionaires, PokerStake’s finest will be in attendance. Who’ll win biggest in Jeju as major events that everyone wants to win take place? We’ve got the lowdown on all the poker professionals heading to South Korea and how you can be a part of their success.
Reigning PokerGO Champion Heads East
As tough qualifiers into poker tournaments go, making the cut in the PokerGO Tour million-dollar freeroll is hard work. Only the top 40 players were guaranteed participation in the freeroll invitational, as players from all over the world racked up PokerGO Tour (PGT) Points in qualifying events throughout 2024.
Top of that leaderboard at the close of the season was an American – Jeremy Ausmus. Not only did he qualify in first place but after an arduous opening major event of the year, Ausmus won the PGT $1m Championship Freeroll for a top prize of $500,000. As he heads out to Jeju, Ausmus is selling to not one but two events in which he is sure to be one of the favorites.
In the ninth event of the series, an 8-Max No Limit Hold’em event with a whopping $159,000 buy-in, Ausmus is selling 10% of his buy-in ($15,900) at a markup of just 1.06. Planning for a long stay in that event which is sure to have a seven-figure top prize, Ausmus is also selling to the 12th event of the series. Also in NLHE, this one is seven-handed fun at the felt, with 10% of his $132,500 buy-in up for grabs at a markup of 1.07.
Jeremy Ausmus is as close as you can get to a sure thing and always plays the game at its highest level with the ultimate respect and class. You can back him now by heading to our official PokerStake staking page for the Triton Poker Series in Jeju.
Wilson and Song Hunting Wins
Two more superstars of the felt heading to Jeju are Brock Wilson and Stephen Song. Wilson took to X to let his fans know that he’s selling to events with some pride and he’s not wrong for doing so. Over the past two years, Wilson has become not only a star of the high roller scene in the United States but one of the most profitable players ever to sell action on PokerStake.
With massive wins in events just like the ones taking place in Jeju later this month and at the start of March, Wilson is one to watch – and invest in. Three 10% ‘bullets’ are on sale to Event #5, which costs $31,800 to play and is 8-Max NLHE. Wilson is also selling to Event #11, the Main Event, which costs $106,000 to play and could have one of the biggest top prizes to be awarded in 2025.
Stephen Song has become a massive player on the worldwide poker scene in the past few years and the reigning EPT Barcelona champion, a recent WPT Prime Main Event crusher and the WSOP bracelet winner is selling to both of the two events that Wilson is selling to. Once again, Song has three bullets up for grabs, with his markup being between 1.04 and 1.10.
Other Players On Sale Look to Crush
With some stars of the tournament poker world on show in Jeju, you won’t want to miss out on their action. Chinese player Ricky Mao is selling to five of the first six events at a markup of between 1.01 and 1.03 – amazing value and a seasoned professional with vast experience of tournaments in the Far East.
Nevan Chang is another player who has played numerous events in Asia and selling at no markup, seems a remarkable investment opportunity. Currently selling to Events #1, #2 and #6, with buy-ins ranging from $15,900 to $26,500, Chang is an absolute crusher, with over $2.3 million in live earnings, much of it coming from events held in the Orient.
With poker legends Kristen Foxen and David Coleman both selling action to events such as the $106,000 Main Event, the $31,800-entry 8-Max Event #5 and the $15,900 buy-in Event #1 which is also eight-handed, the Triton Jeju series is sure to be a hugely successful festival of poker.
The only question is… how much do you want to win?
