First Weekend Highlights
The series kicked off with a bang, and the first weekend did not disappoint with over $6 million in guarantees. Let’s look at some of the incredible results from the standout tournaments.
Bounty Hunters Daily Main [6-Max]: The biggest event from Monday was a $54 buy-in event that offered a $250,000 guarantee. Starting at 16:30 UTC, it took just over 9 hours for the 5,594 players, who created a prize pool of $277,909.92, to play down to a winner. In the end, it was ‘en_h@ns_ce’ claiming the victory, and $9,389.84, after a 3-way chop with ‘manavis13’, who earned $9,073.28, and ‘Kaisersoyze’ who earned $8,365.50. The three of them also collected $9,953.61, $2,956.31, and $566.81 in bounty rewards, respectively.
GGMasters Bounty Special Edition: This regular GGMasters Sunday tournament was adapted and added to the Bounty Hunters Series and given a $350,000 guarantee to go with the $320 buy-in. At the end of late registration, a total of 1,205 players had joined, looking for their bounties and victory, of course. It took ‘Busta Neps’ 9 hours and 38 minutes to claim the victory and top prize of $20,214.76 to go along with $23,308.14 in bounty rewards. Second place went to ‘Schachtabdec’ who earned $20,179.38 plus $8,481.49 in bounties, while ‘Rid bad beat’ finished third for $15,006.17 plus $888.28 in bounties.
Sunday Showdown [Mystery Bounty]: One of the more exciting tournaments from Sunday was the $108 buy-in Mystery Bounty with a $600,000 guarantee. A total of 6,110 players signed up for this incredible event, creating a total prize pool of $607,089.60. After 8.75 hours of play, the tournament finally ended with ‘Vitalii Buts’ taking the top spot for $31,044 while managing to collect an additional $1,111 in bounties. The runner-up prize of $23,276.29 was earned by ‘xFranq’, who also earned $271 in bounty rewards. The third place finisher, ‘Polar3Por1O’, collected $446 in bounties to go along $17,454.75. The happiest player at the end of the event was ‘Juninn’, who collected $509.53 for finishing 50th to go along with the $60,234 in bounties.
Bounty Hunters Sunday Main Event: In one of the most anticipated tournaments of the weekend, the $54 Bounty Hunters Sunday Main Event, offered a guarantee of $750,000, which was well exceeded when 16,355 joined the fray. At the end of the over 10 hour event, it was ‘P Lavecchia’ earning the biggest share of the $812,516.40 prize pool. After defeating ‘SweetCarolina’ in heads-up play, ‘P Lavecchia’ earned $29,092.78 for the victory and $18,244.03 for bounty rewards. ‘SweetCarolina’ earned a total of $36,250.12 for the second place finish and ‘JayLoco3’ took third for 25,502.05; both amounts include the players earned bounties.
Bounty Hunters HR Main Event: Offering a $1 Million guarantee, the biggest tournament to start the Bounty Hunters Series was the Bounty Hunters HR Main Event. A total of 2,095 unique players put up the $525 to enter the event, creating a prize pool of $1,047,500, which took a shade of 11 hours to finally compete. When the last bounty was collected, it was ‘ZecaGeleilate’ standing atop the field, earning $52,749.80 for the victory and an additional $32,512.27 in bounties. The runner-up was ‘regdebaraio’ who went home with $70,696.74, including bounty rewards, while ‘C Jeppsson’ claimed the last spot on the podium, earning $63,342.05, including the bounties.
