In Event #21 of the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP), members of the online poker community continued their assault, finishing sixth, seventh, and eighth in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud tournament. Poker author Jon PearlJammer Turner (pictured) was the first to depart, getting his chips in the middle with a pair of queens and ultimately making trips. However, Owais Ahmed spiked a flush and Turner was relegated to the rails, $13,000 richer for his efforts. Event #21 marked Turner’s fourth WSOP final table and it seems to be only a matter of time until he captures a bracelet.
PokerStarspro Pat TorontoToroPezzin (pictured) was eliminated in seventh place and earned $16,000. After having his stack crippled in a three-way pot with two pair, Pezzin committed the last of his chips and watched as he was dealt a pair of sixes. However, Titan Pokerpro Sorel Imper1um Mizzi made trip jacks and that was all she wrote for Pezzin. The Canadian finished second in last year’s World Championship of Limit Hold’em for nearly $300,000.
Mizzi was ousted at the hands of Darren Shebellin sixth place and banked $22,000 in his third career WSOP final table. Here’s a look at the final leaderboard in Event #21:
1. Richard Ashby – $140,467

WSOP bracelet winner Blair Rodman (pictured) took sixth in Event #20, $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha. The tournament drew 885 players and the top 81 landed in the money. Rodman called all-in with 9c-8c-7c-5d on a flop of 9s-6h-4s. He was up against Klinghammer Thibaut, who showed As-Jh-7s-6s for a pair of sixes and a flush draw. However, the turn was the ace of diamonds, giving Rodman’s opponent aces-up, and a river king sent him heading for the cage to pick up $32,000.
