The 11th event of the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was a lucrative one for many members of the online poker community. New Zealand native Simon siac0Watt (pictured) nabbed the coveted WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event, while David GhettoFabolous Randall took third. Randall, a PokerPwnage pro, banked $270,000 and logged the first WSOP cash of his young career. Randall was motoring along three-handed before 4betting all-in with 10-6 and receiving a call from Watt, who held pocket sevens. Watt called all-in and the board ran out 5-Q-2-J-6, giving Randall a pair, but shipping what was, at the time, the largest pot of Event #11 to Watt.
Twenty-six hands later, Randall open-shoved all-in with A-K of spades and once again received a call from Watt, who held A-2. The flop came 4-3-4, giving Watt a straight draw, and a deuce on the turn paired him up. No help came for Randall on the river and Watt went on to defeat online legend Tom durrrrDwan heads-up for the title. Randall took down the PokerStarsSuper Tuesday in 2007 for $80,000 and is one month removed from a victory in a $162 No Limit Hold’em tournament on the same site for $24,000.
Finishing right behind Randall on the Event #11 leaderboard was Austin quietwinnerMcCormick (pictured), who 4bet all-in pre-flop with J-10, but ran into Randall’s A-10. The flop of 8-4-K with two diamonds gave McCormick some light and another diamond on the turn added a flush draw. However, the five of spades came on the river, sending McCormick to the exit $195,000 richer for his wear. In addition, a congratulatory thread for McCormick popped up in Poker Discussion.
Taking ninth place for $45,000 in Event #11 was Eric whitE_mAmbA Ladny (pictured). After an all-in from Watt pre-flop, Ladny called for his tournament life with A-Q. Watt turned over pocket eights to set up a race and turned a set, leaving Ladny drawing dead. Ladny was sent to the rails after recording his second career WSOP final table. His first came last year in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em event, where he finished fifth for $108,000 in a tournament won by Angel Guillen.

The dual PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) winner moved his chips into the middle with flush and straight draws, but neither materialized and Ahmad Abghari scooped the pot. In addition to his success in the PokerStars SCOOP, Chan also has a win in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) for $83,000.
Adrian chardrianDresel-Celasquez, another PokerPwnage pro, finished in fifth place for $43,000 in Event #12. Following him on the leaderboard was Jason JP_OSUPotter (pictured), who turned in his second WSOP final table appearance. In his final hand, Potter was all-in with A-J against the pocket nines of Georgios Kapalas. Neither player improved and Potter collected $32,000. Last year, he made a final table in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event and finished fourth for $185,000.
