David Coleman and Josh Arieh Bag $1 million in Two Days as PokerStakers Celebrate

Two huge results bagged over $1 million in winnings at Atlantis Resort this week, and PokerStake investors could celebrate a huge return on their investments. The WSOP Paradise bracelet events have been huge all week as the opening days of this year’s 2024 festival have provided some amazing stories, not least for PokerStake’s finest.

Arieh Goes Close Again as Wasserson Wins

“I couldn’t be happier for Eric, he crushed me the entire final table!” ~ Josh Arieh, Six-Time WSOP Champion.

The $25,000-entry Dealer’s Choice Championship always represented a great chance for Josh Arieh to add to his already impressive total of six WSOP bracelets. Arieh, who has alerted many of poker’s biggest players to the benefits of buying and selling their action on PokerStake, put his money where his mouth is by selling to this event.

What a result he got for himself but also the 36 PokerStake investors who followed him into the battle, seeing Arieh bag an incredible $262,090 – more than ten times his entry. For everyone who backed him on PokerStake that meant the same result. Even if a staker backed him for just $125, (0.5% of his action) they got an awesome return of $1,250, very handy with the Christmas holidays coming up.

After the defeat, Arieh took to X to appreciate the moment.

“Finished second again yesterday in the $25k WSOP Dealer’s Choice. Happy with the result. I had 74k at one point when the limits were 20k-40k. Couldn’t be happier for [Eric], he crushed me the entire final table!”

Not everyone was so happy with Josh’s result. Josh’s wife Rachel joked: “Another 2nd. That’s 5 this year but who’s counting. Also, unrelated.. but can anyone help with finding a divorce lawyer in Atlanta? Not getting the gold I been looking for.”

Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh once again came close to WSOP glory but still banked a phenomenal return on his – and PokerStake stakers – investments.

Coleman Brings the Heat in Triton Main Event

While Arieh has six WSOP bracelets to his name, David Coleman is yet to win his first. Not that you’d indtantly know that by consulting The Hendon Mob, where his results speak for themselves, with over $8.25 million in live tournament earnings. All-in with the best of it against Fedor Holz with six players left, Coleman saw the board come with four hearts to flush his hopes away.

Coleman, who fired two bullets in the $100,000-entry event, cashed for his biggest ever score, winning an amazing $890,000 as he once again hit a bad beat deep in a major tournament. That huge seven-figure win is coming, David. The rest of the tournament played out with Holz finishing third, as the American poker crusher Alex Foxen bagged his third WSOP bracelet in a race against his wife Kristen for Foxen family bragging rights (Alex is behind by two now).

Foxen, who hoisted aloft the twin trophies of a WSOP bracelet and a Triton Poker Series trophy upon completion of his victory against Joao Vieira heads-up, has now won two WSOP bracelets for over $3.8 million after crushing a Super High Roller in 2022 too. Now up to over $38 million in lifetime earnings, Foxen is up to 17th on the All-Time Money List.

Super Main Event Kicks Off

Shaun Deeb ended the opening day of the $25,000-entry Super Main Event third in chips as he bagged 3.96 million chips, the equivalent of 158 big blinds, behind only Juan Pardo (4.58m) and Jonathan Jaffe (4.39m).

Daniel Negreanu ended the day 53rd in the rankings of survivors, with 1.64 milion, while PokerStake player Jessica Teusl (1.19m) in 81st place and Aram Zobian (725,000) in 131st will be more than hopeful of their chances on Day 2. Of the initial 461 entries, just 157 remain from the Day 1a flight, with Day 1b playing out today in Atlantis Resort.

Don’t forget, you can stake players such as mixed game specialist Benny Glaser, poker author and legendary PokerStake winner to date Jonathan Little and the aforementioned Jessica Teusl in the remaining events in The Bahamas. With other event series such as the World Poker Tour World Championships also taking place, get in quick to avoid missing out on your favorite players and like those who staked David Coleman and Josh Arieh, you can start enjoying the success in Atlantis along with your chosen crushers.
