The Spring online poker season just keeps on going. On Monday, 888poker announced full details for their XL Spring Series 2021 and have put together a week-long schedule that guarantees more than $1 million in prize pools.
Beginning May 30, and featuring 25 events, the XL Spring Series has buy-ins from as low as $5.50 and a main event that features the biggest guarantee on the schedule. The series is comprised entirely of No Limit Hold’em events, and takes full advantage of the tournament formats popular on 888poker.
Three events feature the Rebuy & Add-on format, six give bounty hunters the opportunity to rake it in with the PKO format, three more are of the DeepStack variety, and yet another three tournaments fall under the ever-popular six max format.
The Main Events
The final day of the series, Sunday June 6, is all about the Main Events. There are three different tournaments under the Main Event banner. The Micro Main Event gives players a an affordable entry point with a $5.50 buy-in and $15,000 guaranteed. The Mini Main Event is step up in terms of both buy-in and prizepool, with $33 required to enter and a $50,000 guarantee.
But the shining star of the day, and in fact the entire schedule, is the $250 buy-in Main Evnet that comes with an impressive $500,000 guarantee.
Live Stream Action
Final tables of three key events will be streamed on 888poker’s Twitch channel, 888pokerTV. The streaming gets underway with the final table of Event #1, a $55 buy-in with a $50,000 guarantee, on Sunday, May 30. Two days later, the focus shifts to the final table of Event #8, the $320 buy-in High Roller with $50,000 guaranteed. The final event that 888poker will stream is the $500,000 Main Event on Sunday, June 6.
Players tuning into the streams will be able to scoop up prizes, including XL Series tickets, and a special freeroll will accompany each stream.
